After four days of eating, relaxing, movie watching, reading and enjoying some much-needed down time, I’m a pretty thankful gal. I also found an abundance of good-natured stories to save and share with you here. Enjoy!
1 – A’s pitcher Sean Doolittle hosts 17 Syrian refugee families for Thanksgiving This pairs two of my favorite things: baseball and humanity. Sean and his girlfriend Eireann are a lovely couple doing good things with their money and notoriety. Thank you! I wish more people would follow their example.
2 – Mog’s Christmas Calamity – For Mog fans, this is their favorite book come to life. For newbies, this is just plain delightful! Pull the kids over because they are going to love this mischievous cat. Gift idea: books in their stocking.
3 – The Brilliant Way This Special Ed Teacher Starts Class Every Day This guy must be awarded teacher of the year. Brilliant is right! This is how we should all start our day but it is so important for children, especially children with issues to hear that they are smart and good and worthy. Take a lesson everyone.
4 – 2015 CNN Hero of the Year Maggie Doyne helps women, children in Nepal When you think you can’t do something, think of Maggie. This young woman took $5000 and created a life for these women and children. “…please, please remember that we have the power to create the world that we want to live in, just as we want it.” Yes we can!
5 – Watch Pianist Perform John Lennon’s ‘Imagine’ Outside Paris’ Bataclan In the ashes of the Paris terrorist attacks, beauty and peace rises.
Have a wonderful week everyone!
