Happy Friday! In looking through the news this week I thought about what constitutes “happy” or “good.” What might be happy to me might not necessarily be happy or good to someone else, or interesting. I got to thinking about this little labor of love, which is essentially my opportunity to spread positivity. But it’s two-fold: in spreading positivity to my readers, I’m filling myself with positive notions too. And I’m trying to inspire myself that this is a wonderful world — good things happen here! That’s a pretty happy thought!
So tell me, what makes you happy? What inspires you? What kinds of stories lift your spirits?
1 – Drinking Champagne is Good For Your Brain and Prevents Memory Loss How’s that for lifting your spirits?! When I first read this headline I thought they were kidding. But it’s true: drink up!
2 – THIS Is The Reason For The Extra Shoelace Hole For the runners and exercisers out there, this is slightly mind blowing. The extra hole could change your life. Lace lock!
3 – Advice in Six Words: 17 Inspirational Six-Word Writing Tips Who can’t use a little inspiration, especially when writing. The folks over at Six Words encourage writing “six-word memoirs.” They ran a little Twitter contest coinciding with NaNoWriMo to great avail. This is such a great exercise for anyone trying to break writer’s block or just have fun with words.
4 – It’s Just Hair This is so, so lovely. Actress Clare Bowen plays a princess on television. She heard a little girl say she couldn’t be a princess because she doesn’t have long hair from being sick. Just what does make a princess? Or a superhero?
5 – Creativity Salon Now Open! I’m inviting you to join some incredibly inspiring people in a salon. My boot camp has evolved into a group that will grow and soar! Come on over and read about what we have planned so far. This is what I hope will inspire you!
Have a wonderful weekend everyone!
