I don’t know about you but I’m just about ready to flip the page. There’s that bright morning sun to take the barely-there chill off the shoulders and a freshly steeped cup of tea calling my name. The air is fresher and the sun is fleeting come seven o’clock.
I’m back! Autumn elicits different feelings for me depending on the memory I decide to call up: A quick jaunt through the drugstore the other day seeing all the back-to-school supplies made me slightly giddy. My walk home from the T station along cobblestoned Wellington Street in Boston’s South End with the scent of fireplaces that are well-worn come April. Pumpkins on the steps and that crispness in the air and underfoot. Autumn, she’s almost here. On this official first day of autumn, I’m going to embrace her and welcome her in grand fashion. Who’s with me?
I’ve had a small hiatus from the blog this summer but I’m back and excited to engage with you lovely readers once again.
Thanks for keeping the place warm for me!
