Memorial Day. A day to acknowledge the brave who have dedicated and sacrificed their lives to the democracy and safety of this country. More than anything, it’s what we celebrate this weekend. Because of them, we have this wonderful life. Thank you.
It’s the official kickoff for summer here in the United States, and especially here in the Northeast. We’ve earned every bit of this summer!
To get things going, I would love to introduce you to a fantastic podcast called New York Standard. It’s dedicated to the best music from the era that made New York standard! Swing and bop, cabaret and Broadway! Ah, the jazz era… Get ready for an upbeat show…a bit of a barn burner, so to speak! This is perfect for a lazy day by the water or to get things going at your backyard cookout. Dancing in the living room is always recommended…
In all transparency, the show is hosted by my husband. How lucky am I, you say? Our home is always filled with music. All kinds of music! So I invite you to partake in a little slice of my world. You’ve got Bobby Darin, Ella Fitzgerald, Anita O’Day and Art Tatum…and that’s just to get you started. Enjoy!!
