One step forward and ten steps back are the words I muttered this morning as I grappled to set up a personal hotspot to achieve an internet connection. Our internet and phone are down to a faulty outlet. Apparently. Of course this was told to me as I was waking so I could be a bit fuzzy on the details. How was your morning?
As I ranted a bit about things, I remembered how peacefully I awoke yesterday with sweet silence and a few minutes to breathe before I had to place a foot on the floor. Amazing how the start of the day can set the tone for the rest of it! But as I settled in and got things moving and the sun started to stream into my tiny office, I felt better. The sun, she is our friend!
Light is imperative for so many creatures on this earth. It feeds the soil and plants so we may eat. It keeps our planet spinning, so to speak. And, as so many people have groused this winter, it keeps us sane! Figuratively or literally, the light keeps us going. Even on the coldest days this past winter, the warmth and feel of the sun made it infinitely more tolerable. Just make sure to wear appropriate sunscreen! A bit of Vitamin D for this gal goes a long way.
I just planted these sweet shamrocks and placed them in my sunniest window. They’re already stretching to meet the sun’s rays! My oxalis likes to be moved around so she can keep reaching for the noon day light.
