Happy Wine Wednesday! Crisp, refreshing and bold. You’re going to want to jump right into Clifford Bay’s 2013 Sauvignon Blanc!
Warm days and cool nights that are so synonymous with Marlborough’s wine-growing region create the most crisp and lively fruit flavors. Named after New Zealand’s Clifford Bay, the grapes are grown in the Awatere and Wairau Valleys in the iconic region. Notably, all the vineyards are managed under New Zealand’s sustainable wine growing practices.
Strong, bitter lime and grapefruit aromas hit you on the nose. But you will be surprised at the difference when you take a sip: bright and light passion fruit, grassy herbs, and bold acidity with a perfectly crisp finish. This is a big Sauvignon Blanc but does not overpower. Balanced and ripe, this is for New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc lovers!
This will pair perfectly with so many summer favorites: all kinds of seafood, salads and fresh off-the-vine fruit as well as spicy Mexican and Asian dishes. This would be so delicious alongside guacamole or spicy sushi rolls! Enjoy!
