Happy Wine Wednesday! Today’s wine is a bright and crisp rosé from the North Fork of Long Island. This refreshing rosé will help you forget just how hot it is out there!
Make a visit to The Winemaker’s Studio in Peconic a priority on your list when touring the North Fork. With choices from six different winemakers in the area, you will surely find a new favorite. Anthony Nappa has been making wine in Long Island for Shinn Estate since 2007 and now Raphael since 2012, while continuing to create his own small label wines.
My new favorite is Bliss by Anthony Nappa. Bright, acidic and candy-apple red colored, this is a delicious rosé. Juicy fruit aromas along with watermelon, raspberry and cherry flavors combine with a textured, almost sour apple, long finish. This is a dry and very pleasant rosé that goes down quite easy!
This would pair nicely with most summer time meals like salad and fruit or could be savored solo while soaking up the fresh evening air. You decide, because either way, you’re going to love it. Enjoy!
