Just in case you haven’t had enough valentines/love references in the last 24 hours, I give you these bleeding hearts!
There is a secluded spot in the Conservatory Garden here in upper Central Park where they sprout every spring. And I have to admit that I’m a bit obsessed with them. This spot is on the perimeter of the garden where the hostas, snowdrops and other shady flowers and plants thrive. It’s always quiet and cool there and the hearts pop right out at me from all the green! The main gardens are spectacular in the spring with the hundreds of tulips and daffodils but I make a beeline to find my ever faithful bleeding hearts.

OooO i love bleeding hearts – beautiful photos =)
Thank you! There is just something special about them, right?
Love them as well.
We have bleeding hearts in our garden-red ones and white ones. They *are* beautiful!
