This fun shot comes from the Telegraph Hill neighborhood of San Francisco. If you’ve been to San Francisco you know they aren’t kidding about the hills: They are steep and they are serious.
One of my favorite walks is to take the trolley around the Embarcadero and head to Coit Tower. There are steps right at Filbert Street (mind you, it takes a little effort to find AND climb these wooden steps) that take you through some of the sweetest yards, gardens and homes. You never know what you might discover along the way. After finding Coit Tower and beginning the descent I discovered this amazing vista atop this vantage point. Normally one is always remarking about the views of the bay but I thought this was a fantastic view of the city along with the glow of Saints Peter and Paul Church in North Beach.
Then, I had a little fun with a great and free app called Pixlr-o-matic. I like to call it the Streets of San Francisco because it reminds me of those shows from the 70s and one of my all-time favorite films, Dirty Harry.
