Croteaux Vineyards has quickly become a favorite winery on the North Fork of Long Island. Croteaux is strictly and proudly a rosé producer and offers a unique tasting experience in their tasting garden. Take one sip of their well-crafted rosés and you just might think you’re spending an afternoon in the south of France. They also offer baguettes and cheese to accompany their wine. Many people cannot resist ordering a bottle and relaxing in the shade of the French-inspired atmosphere.
Today’s wine is their Jolie Rosé. This is no light and fruity, sweet rosé. It has deep blush color to match it’s full-bodied taste. On the nose there is an immediate scent of honey and stone fruit, like peach and apricot. That fruit lends a warmth and peppery undertone to this delicious and summery wine. But you could drink it well into Thanksgiving due to it’s full-bodied structure. 100% Cabernet Franc. 100% Stainless Steel. 137 cases produced.
Well known for their whites and dessert wines, Long Island is slowing catching up with their reds and now rosés!
